I attach some pics of after and before and a bit of a post for the Pemb site
I'm glad I fitted a sump-guard! I went to see a Velocette Venom that's up for sale in the Parish today and across the tarmac drive, well below sight line was a DEEP channel/gutter. I was a little late in spotting it and went in too fast causing a bang. Fortunately, said the smug git, the guard did its job, taking the shock and lifting the engine. The rubber-belting cushions and distortable mounts worked pretty well. I hate to think of the damage I could have done without it.
