In the quest for a bit more oooph I started thinking about superchargers. Superchargers designed for BMW Mini Coopers are readily available on eBay for less than a couple of hundred pounds. If run at about half the speed it would be about right for a 602cc 2CV engine. It could be driven from the front of the crankshaft by a belt with the blower mounted above the cylinders. I mentioned the idea to David Stevenson who e_mailed me his thoughts on the matter, see e-mails and also sent me the following few pages on blowing a 2CV. As usual its not quite as simple as one might think!
