Vintage Specials, Silly Old Fools and Young Guns !!!!
By ‘Gear Gnashin Neil’the detailed shots of a ‘recently built vintage car’ The ageing process that is applied certainly works. I have found another few pictures of specials that fit my criteria of air cooled homebuilt, aluminium bodied etc. I’ve attached them below. It’s amazing that all these cars are still running.
Above—A 9999cc aero engined Austin…..Nearly 10,000cc wow ! Is the exhaust S.V.A. compliant ?
Right—Another gorgeous J.A.P engine still capable of doing the business after about 80 years….Wonder if I’ll still be ticking over when I’m that old ???

I’m now participating in the British Grass Bashin Championship. The races are tough and the opposition usually consists of quite a few ex British Champions. Yep ..’The Old Sporting Hero’s’ are in for quite a shock cause the ‘Young Guns’ are coming...
