Algy’s Gripe IS IT ME???? Is it me or what???? Now don’t get me wrong I am not know for having a moan, but!!! There we were just getting light nights and warmer days and evenings when, Bugger Me, all of a sudden winter is upon us, or so it seems. It appears as though I slept in one day and missed what we could laughingly call summer, so thoughts of getting home from the daily grind of business to have a couple of hours driving around country lanes in Pootle seem to have vanished for another year without me ever experiencing this year, but as you know Old Algy is not one to complain, who said that?? Within the lodge this year we are preparing for Offspring’s forthcoming nuptials next year and the first part of the plan was to use Pootle as the brides form of arrival transport, but then we had the discussion of ’How do I get in father dear, I will not be able to climb in the cockpit in my dress!’ well why don’t you drive there and get ready later, to which Old Algy was berated by offspring and spouse, don’t be so bloody stupid, we know your getting on a bit, but that is not the answer, so….. We have now come to the conclusion the Pootle can be used, with Algy’s permission, maybe, for the running around after the nuptials and for the honeymoon period, depends whether new son-in-law and offspring behave and really promise to look after Pootle and treat her carefully, then as said, maybe!! The outcome of this is that we have another form of transport, classic of course, but Algy will not be able to use Pootle all next August, bloody hell, not used much this summer and now planning not to use her part of next year already, IS IT ME or is it just old age but time to spend playing is passing me by quicker than I want, but we do have a bit of cooler, possibly cold winter motoring to look forward to, all those country lanes devoid of traffic and people crowding around because it is cold, not as nice as summer, but to be out there on your own in beautiful surroundings is great, now that is a sign of age, wanting to be away from crowds, and to that end Old Algy is very grateful. Now that’s what I call a generous gesture. What a lucky son-in-law to be. - Crackleport Can someone tell me how to reach Pembleton to place an order ?????????? - Roger You will need to leave Phil a voice mail on his answer machine. He will get back to you—Albert I am here in the United States, and I doubt if he would return a call from his voicemails to California. He doesn’t appear to respond to his mail even when I gave him an email address and fax number I produce television programmes here in the U.S. and I want to buy one three wheeler and one four wheeler and make the assembly of them into two one hour TV specials.—Roger Hi Roger, I may not be the fastest worker in town but the assembly of a car in a one hour special ?? Is the footage going to be available to watch for Pembleton owners ? (free of course) After the show what are the cars going to be used for ? What sort of SVA equivalent do you have in the States ? Make sure you do your homework as I’m sure you will all already have. Maybe as credits for the show you could use other owner’s cars showing different adaptions and ideas of the two models then even go on to the ‘specials’. Some of which will have your countrymen thinking we English are not only excentric but MAD AS HATTERS—Andrew Once the show is finished I would be happy to send any of your members a free copy—Roger Count me in I would buy one also…. I think my chassis is finished. So it should be on the water soon should get it in 6—7 week. Wheee-heeee hooooo can’t wait—Peter (Australia) So you see….. Chat from around the world on the Pembleton Forum. …Pay it a visit and catch up with the latest…Cracklepot
