Letters to the Editor Hi there, Malcolm & Angela here, the no53 (Charlie) crew. Just to say to all those very generous people out there who have donated to our charity project over this year, £750-00 for Macmillan cancer relief. Our quest was to complete the Three National Rallies. Well we did finish all three, gaining Sliver awards in the Welsh & English & a Touring award (1000 miles) in the Scottish Rally. For those of you who do not about these Rallies, they are Navigation rallies for Motorbikes, Scooters, Motorbikes & Sidecar as well as three wheelers. The Welsh has 2 stages. A day; short or long; run from Welshpool to Aberystwyth & a night stage run from Aberystwyth to near Welshpool. The day rally routs cover either north or south Wales whilst the night run usually meanders through the central area. Check points vary from manned ones to the collecting of information. The rally is run over a Saturday to early Sunday in early May. The English Rally. First weekend in July. Has many starting points, many different categories, from 200 miles to 530 miles & finishes somewhere in central England; the last two years at Uttoxeter. The Scottish Rally is run over the second weekend in September unless you are doing the touring or Island hopper, then you can start in mid August. In all over the three rallies from home to home we covered 2,567 miles with “Charlie” running like a dream, apart from a front wing falling off. If anyone would like addresses for entries then please contact us at: - E-mail, malcolm2cvhayward@btinternet.com, or 01564 822032. Happy Festive & Brilliant New Year to you all. Carry on Pembling Hi Ian Yes we have picked up some of the kit(basic bits) we are currently building up the suspension, finished the king pins on Sat morning. This was easier than expected. The rear brake adjusters were solid we Managed to free one with plenty of heat  and WD40, but the other one took a little longer. I had to weld a bar on to the rounded bolt head, then with a lot of leverage, curses and heat It moved! All,s well that ends well, Kind regards Ernie Dear Glyn, We have reserved a club pitch at the Uxbridge car show again this year.  The show is on Sunday 17th July at the Uxbridge show ground. The Uxbridge car show is big and one of the best shows to visit, there is something for everyone, young, old, male, female or someone looking for a fun filled day.   Last year the mayor of Hillingdon took a very keen interest in the Pembletons or was it the wine he was interested in??? who knows?! but car number 4 was asked to take the lady mayoress for a drive around the showground and was equally impressed.   So come on you barmy lot get the Pembletons out, check the tyres, grab the family and come down to Uxbridge on Sunday 17th July.  You will not be disappointed.   If you want more information contact: Liz or Dave on 01873831639 or d.millar@amserve.com remember fun is guaranteed so do try to come   keep pembling you barmy lot Hello My name is Simon Jerwood, my father David Jerwood who sadly died last September had just completed construction of a Pembleton Super Sports. It has been mot'edl and is currently on a sorn I do not know much about the car except that it has a 602cc 2CV engine and running gear. It would have been put together well as my father was an accomplished, professional engineer and had vast experience in constructing most things including boats, cars, planes, helicopters etc. He may have contacted you during the construction of the car and so may already be known to you. As executor of his will I need to sell the car but have only a very rough idea of its value. I understand that you would need to see the car to be able estimate its vale correctly but I would be great full if you could let me know the prices these  cars are being sold for. Your sincerely Simon jerwood If any could assist Simon, please contact me or John Ward (initial contact) Thanks Algernon
